Name/Alias: Kyon (It's his nickname, his real name is yet unknown)
Fandom: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Canonpoint: Post-The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Physical Description: Here's a Nagato-chan character sheet for the body (it's pretty much the same), and a shot from the Disappearance Movie. In general, he's a plain looking 5'7 young man, with brown hair and a slim build.
History: Here. It's a bit meager, so if you need more lemme know!
Personality: Kyon is a normal high school student. Surprisingly, that's his biggest trait and compared to most everyone else in the series. He's a slacker, he's into girls, he can be boring, and he has trouble imagining that anything supernatural or out of the ordinary could exist. One of the first things we learn about Kyon in both the anime and the light novels is that when it comes to Santa Claus, he never believed in him. Ever. Despite that, when he was faced with the overwhelming evidence that all three of the non-Haruhi SOS Brigade members gave him as far as their abilities go, he began to believe a little in these supernatural phenomena. Even so, there are still some things he doesn't believe in, ghosts and Santa and things like that. Right now, he knows that Aliens and Time Travelers and Espers exist, and that's enough nonsense for him.
Despite that, while the fact that they exist is interesting enough, it's really a double edged sword to him. For one, he'd rather not go through this much of a hassle for Haruhi Suzumiya, having to search for distorted data and whatnot. After all, despite the weirdos around him, Kyon is still a normal human being with no ability to shoot lasers or throw fireballs or anything. Considering how his life has been put into peril twice already due to these people, there's a good reason he'd want to avoid them! But at the same time, at this point he realizes that despite that, he's having fun. It's interesting, being pulled everywhere with a girl with latent omnipotent powers and being in the company of aliens and what have you. It's a position he complains about, but in the end, he wouldn't give it up to anyone else for anything.
Another one of Kyon's most prominent traits is to act as the straight man to all of Haruhi's antics, ideas, and situations. He tends to speak in a sarcastic deadpan tone, always at least inner monologuing about the ridiculousness of something he was just told. In fact, thanks to the nature of both the light novels and the anime, sometimes it's difficult to tell when he's speaking aloud or monologuing. Either way, if there's something bothering him, he'll be sure to let someone know about it. However, he's learned to at least be somewhat careful about what he says and the tone that he says it in, lest he piss off Haruhi enough to cause her to want to destroy the world in Closed Space. There have been times where he's been able to only barely hold himself back from his frustration, nearly striking Haruhi as she continued to manipulate Mikuru Asahina to her liking.
Kyon usually tries to speak politely to people that he doesn't know, but there can be times where he forgoes that and acts the way he usually does, in an uninterested and bored manner. His politeness stands a lot longer when he's met an attractive girl though. While he's only really met one girl he really goes out of his way for, it isn't as if he doesn't find any of the others in his life attractive. He makes passing comments about how he wouldn't mind seeing Yuki wear a bunny outfit in Mikuru's place, and believes that yes, Haruhi herself is a stunning beauty. It could be the utter helplessness of Mikuru compared to everyone else, but he won't say no to a cute girl at all. Of course, he's not the type to visibly leer. Most of his comments regarding Mikuru are introspection, and he doesn't choose to engage someone like his friend, Taniguchi, in talking about girls.
A prominent trait of his is that he's not very good at being punctual. Without fail he's always the last one to meet up with the rest of the SOS Brigade, and there's of course, the horror that was Endless Eight, a situation in where he procrastinated on his homework and to that effect, was caught in a time loop that spanned over 500 years. He only half pays attention in class, convincing himself that after exams, the teachers are busy marking his answers wrong. It was to this point that he was surprised when Haruhi told him that she had gotten her work done in three days before their summer activities, so that they were out of the way.
Despite his failings in school, he could still come across as smart. He did the calculations for how many years Yuki Nagato withstood the summer, taking into account the amount of times it had been repeated, the number of weeks that had been repeated, and how many days and weeks were in a year. There are different occasions where he makes references to historical events, such as The Hannibalic War. Also, like most teenagers, he has a small passing interest in anime, manga, and video games, consistently referring to hit points and namedropping The Drifting Classroom during the Disappearance. Really, he's
Abilities: Absolutely nothing. Kyon's got no otherworldly abilities to speak about, aside from the ability to befriend an alien, a time traveler, and an esper.

Dialogue: A Thread, A game post!
Exposition/Introspection: Something was wrong. In the back of his head to the base of his spine, Kyon had a feeling of dread passing through his body.
There was no warning to it, although the giddy sounds coming from behind him during class might have been some form of indication. Truthfully, he hadn't paid much attention to that or anything during class, figuratively slipping into another world as Okabe performed his lecture. Even if he had been paying attention, he retained none of the information there was to be learned from the teacher, much less any noises that the girl that sat behind him would make.
With the threat of exams coming up, Kyon felt like he really did want to slip into another world. Though, not really. He had already had his fill of different worlds, timelines, universes, and anything else from over the winter, and would be happy enough keeping himself in the same school he was familiar with, one he was less likely to be fatally stabbed in. A few lousy test scores were something he'd be willing to take on the chin before he would take any alien that wanted him dead. Maybe the feeling of dread came from that memory that he wanted to tuck deep away in his mind?
No, that certainly wasn't it.
It could also be the fact that as much as he put it off, there was still the fact that he had to go back and fix the timeline with Nagato and Miss Asahina. Although he still wasn't sure how bad it would get the more and more he procrastinated on it, it remained that he needed to actually finish the job and save his own skin, or something terrible could happen to the rest of the universe. Not that he knew what, exactly. It was enough to make him sigh. This was the life he had chosen and he had to forfeit the right to complain for the rest of his life about it. Maybe that was it. No, no it wasn't.
As he approached the usual door, with the usual slapped on sign up above, he took a deep breath. The day had grown stressful, and he was ready to relax with a nice cup of Miss Asahina's tea. He knocked twice, a voice greeting him. It wasn't the sound of his sweet upperclassman but, almost as he anticipated, the Brigade's self-appointed undisputed leader, who upon his opening the door, had a smile about 12 miles long on her face. Whatever she had planned, she was definitely happy with it, which meant that whatever it was was only going to cause trouble for him, and potentially Miss Asahina. Sighing once more, he asked.
"All right. Just what are you up to today?"
